Despite the balmy summer evening he had insisted upon these flannelette ones & then spent quite a long time getting the top on and then buttoning it himself (I walked out, not realising the effort he was exerting, & offered assistance at one time but quickly realised that he didn't want my help - a very 3 year old kind of certainty ;)
Eventually he had done it & it was time to count the buttons.
An amazingly self-contained and self-motivated lesson.
I think a button frame is in order :0)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is great. My boy couldn't do that until he was about 4 1/2 years. He had issues with his fine-motor skills right from when he was a baby and when I started to homeschool him, I really looked for projects that would work on his fine motor skills.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE those self-motivated learning moments! Cute photo, too.
