90/365 New Adventures

Today.

Today was the first day of our new adventure. Today my beautiful boys started school. Our family's adventures in homeschooling have been some of the most wonderful years of my life. And the most  exhausting, lol, but I am eternally grateful for these extra years spent in each other's gaze. I am taking comfort in the knowledge that we have so much "home-and-world-learning" (as I'm calling it ;) ahead of us together as a family... there are still many adventures to come! They'll just fit around a more traditional schedule of holidays and school hours. 

The best part? Both boys are excited and happy. I am so proud of them :) We picked them up this afternoon, rushed them out for icecream, and - I never thought I'd be saying this but - I think they look super-cute in their uniforms! #love.

As promised.  Aren't these two lovely. 

14/365 And We Are Go!

We left Rome this morning. A 7am bus. An 8am train. 

By lunchtime we found ourselves in Malpensa, to the north of Milan. Ready to fly in the morning. Out of Milan. Out of Europe... Goodbye London, Oxford, Carbis Bay, Copenhagen, Berlin, Prague, Paris, Bern, Lucca, Florence and Rome. Sob. You will all be missed!

As Australan citizens we have been constrained to a maximum of three months in the Schzengen / European Zone - the month we spent in the UK didn't count - and sadly tomorrow is D-day.

These next few weeks will however be full of amazing contrasts as we travel from  Milan - Abu Dhabi - Dubai - Abu Dhabi - Bangkok - Singapore - Bali - Sydney - Gold Coast - and... home.

That list still seems completely surreal to me but, deep breath, we're ready. Bring it on. X

Sweet moments past

Hello :)

Well that was a much bigger break than I expected! It's taken me quite a while to get my head around backing up and sorting my photos on the road. Let alone actually blogging them. Lol.

But here I am.

And these 2 photos are actually from the bubble of days we spent with my mum after we moved out of our house but before we left on our travels.The memories feel precious... so many miles past since then.

On The Road (Squeeeee!)

Sept 16. 2013 ❤ The day I had daydreamed about for years... the day we were FINALLY back "on the road" with our munchkins!!

Brisbane - Singapore - Abu Dhabi - London. Erm, I pretty much don't recommend flying that far without a stopover. #crazy. Luckily, the boys thought the in-sky entertainment system was the best thing. Ever. Particularly the retro game "Pong". 

First stop Singapore. Can you tell they also thought the airport shops were awesome? Lol. 

I may or may not have been more fixated with the orchids :)
