A woman.
A mother.
Lost.
Today.
Today was the first day of our new adventure. Today my beautiful boys started school. Our family's adventures in homeschooling have been some of the most wonderful years of my life. And the most exhausting, lol, but I am eternally grateful for these extra years spent in each other's gaze. I am taking comfort in the knowledge that we have so much "home-and-world-learning" (as I'm calling it ;) ahead of us together as a family... there are still many adventures to come! They'll just fit around a more traditional schedule of holidays and school hours.
The best part? Both boys are excited and happy. I am so proud of them :) We picked them up this afternoon, rushed them out for icecream, and - I never thought I'd be saying this but - I think they look super-cute in their uniforms! #love.
My very own mama, here in trademark purple, and her partner Susan - aka. The Grandmas - are about to head off on some grand adventures around Australia.
Hug and I popped in for a visit tonight and I snapped a few photos.
Posed by the door of their lovely big house which has been all packed up...
And - with their new home!! (Can you tell they're excited?!). They've done a brilliant job kitting out their campervan, and now the travelling starts.
We are going to miss them SO much but think they are the coolest. #4sleepstogo!
While I sipped warm (yes warm, not hot, what's with that Europe?) coffee at Maraviglia Alessandro on Piazza San Michele...
and admired the Art Nouveau surroundings,
the boys concocted plans of who would buy Lovely a Minion balloon (no-one unfortunately)
and talked me into paying for them to buy fairy-floss :)
It was pretty awesome I must admit... still warm in the centre!
And I was reminded that fairy-floss makes everything better. Even missing out on minions and drinking warm coffee.
That might just be my 2014 Mantra :) Happy January 1st everyone! x
